Meet The Team
PATRICK DK GESIK, DPT
Patrick was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. As an athlete growing up playing sports and having injuries he quickly understood the benefits “hands-on” physical therapy had to offer in giving relief and returning him back to play.
Patrick went to THE Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in General Sciences with a minor in Chemistry in 2007. He then received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2010. In 2013, Patrick moved home to Hawai’i to be closer to family and to work with the local community. He feels fortunate to go to work and continue his family’s legacy. In his free time, Patrick loves spending time outdoors with his family. He enjoys the island lifestyle with going to the beach, swimming, playing tennis and basketball. NICKOLAS ALARCIO, DPT
Nick was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up with two older brothers and was constantly exposed to sports because of this. When he was old enough to participate, he spent the majority of his time on the baseball field or basketball court. As a result, he found an interest toward the rehabilitation process and eventually went on to graduate from Mid-Pacific Institute.
His interest in the physical therapy profession continued through college, where he attended the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2016. Following his time in Tacoma, he moved back home for a couple years where he gained valuable experience shadowing physical therapists. He continued his education at the University of Indianapolis where he cultivated a strong knowledge of the profession through dedicated professors and various clinical experiences. In 2021, he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy as part of the Krannert School of Physical Therapy in Indianapolis. Nick moved back home to Oahu to be close to family and friends. He was excited for the opportunity to positively impact the community through quality care and treatment. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach, working out, and watching sports. RYAN UYENO, DPT
Ryan was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a 2008 graduate of Punahou School where he played volleyball and basketball. Shellee was born and raised in Ewa Beach, Hawaii and is a graduate of Moanalua High School. When she was younger she played soccer and enjoyed being active. She has a younger brother who is an avid soccer player, so she spent lots of time at the soccer field. Growing up, she would also spend her free time volunteering in her Mom’s elementary school classroom where she would watch her Mom impact many students' lives through teaching. Although she enjoyed working with children and teaching, she never had a passion for teaching traditional educational subjects. Shellee became interested in pursuing physical therapy in high school when she discovered that it combined both her interests in health and teaching.
Shellee attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science in 2018. At UH, she gained valuable experience working with various community programs and volunteering at local physical therapy clinics. Shellee continued her education at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. There she was able to gain valuable experience working in a variety of settings during her clinical rotations, which included developmental pediatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics. She graduated in 2022 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Although living on the mainland was exciting, Shellee always knew that she wanted to return home to Hawaii. She moved back home after graduating from physical therapy school and is excited to provide quality care to her community. In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking, shopping, spending time with family and friends, and planning her future travels. |
